"Do you hear those bells? They're melting them for bullets."/ "I want to save my life, but not through lies."/ "Nature does not notice the sorrow that has come over the people." / "...for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
Spielberg and his endless budget only make the film visually appealing, but the old chemistry is missing. One of the drawbacks is the altered storyline does not make sense; the second half entirely lacks focus. Not even mentioning the overloaded autotune. It’s good that they cast real Hispanic actors. Rita Monroe is still killing it!! (She is absolutely terrific, but her role in the remake is a stretch. )
